Hi everybody,

My name is Amal and I’m an illustrator helping out my sweet friend in Gaza with his Big-Small campaign. Husain’s BIG love is his family, cats, cooking + making delicious coffee, but survival now depends on the outside community.

He worked at a SMALL attractive market near his home before the I0F destroyed the market stall and reduced much of his neighborhood to rubble. Months later his building was damaged by bombing—twice.

Husain is recently married and there is a little on in need of any sustenance available. PLEASE, if you can only chip in $3 it’s still a help!

FAMILY

When his dear brother stepped outside out for a moment, he was killed by occupation forces. He was just about to become a father….

HOUSING

It has been struck and everyone lives together in a very small, very insecure space.

None of this is normal

We are witnessing civilians struggle against infernos, starvation, dehydration, cold, heat, and occupation invasion. It is far beyond anything most of us will ever understand.

IMAGINE that throughout this nightmare, Husain is nearly always and asking about other people’s health before talking about his miserable conditions in Gaza.

Still, Husain dreams…

In the meantime, the family’s survival depends on the LOVE of the outside community. We ask that you donate the cost of the smallest (maybe not-so-needed & not-so-healthy) item from your grocery cart.

The campaign was made intentionally small because we’d like to strike the goal as fast as possible and it will go far to help baby and mom stay as strong as possible.
