It is with broken hearts that we share the tragic passing of Holly Marie Carroll, just 14 years old, who left us far too soon—days before her middle school graduation from St. George Episcopal School. Holly passed away unexpectedly on May 13, leaving behind a family and community who loved her deeply and will miss her more than words can express.
Holly was a light in this world. She loved God deeply, and her faith guided everything she did. She was simply a beautiful soul- fiercely intelligent, full of promise, and had a gift for making everyone feel seen and loved. Whether you were a close friend or a stranger, Holly made you feel like family. She made friends easily, was among the first to include someone who felt left out, and brought joy into every room she entered.
Holly was a role model student. She worked hard, she observed the world, she excelled in her classes and was the Sr. Vice President for Beta Club.
Most of all, Holly adored her family. She cherished every moment with them and made sure they knew how much they were loved. She brought joy, laughter, and so much warmth into their lives, and her absence is a loss no words can fully capture.
But if you knew Holly, you probably remember her big, beautiful bows—she wore one almost every day. It was her trademark, just like her bright smile and kind heart.
As her loved ones mourn this unimaginable loss, they’re also facing the unexpected burden of medical and funeral expenses. If you’re able, please consider donating to help give Holly the farewell she deserves. Any support is appreciated more than you know.
And if you’re not in a position to give, sharing this post or simply lifting Holly’s family in your prayers would mean the world.
Rest in peace, sweet Holly. We will carry your memory—and your bows—with us always.
