Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

We are reaching out with heavy hearts to share some difficult news that has turned The Pillsbury Family’s world upside down. Recently, through an incidental finding and follow-up appointments, Dave received the devastating news that he has inoperable stage 4 metastatic Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the upper GI/bile duct system. This diagnosis shocked Dave and his family, as he had been in seemingly good health and living an active, fulfilling life.
For more than twenty years, Dave has poured his heart and soul into his family and his work as a passionate educator, both as a math teacher and as a guide to those new to teaching. Now, Dave, his wife Kathleen, and their three daughters face uncertainty. While the road ahead will be long and tough, the whole family remains hopeful, fueled by stories of triumph.
This journey is not only physical, but also emotional and financial. The costs of treatment, appointments, and travel for the best possible care are quickly adding up. This is where your support can make a huge difference. Funds raised here will go directly toward covering Dave’s medical expenses, travel, and other costs associated with the treatment process.
