In just one week, everything changed. June, our strong and spirited 5-year-old, was diagnosed with ATRT—a rare and aggressive brain tumor. She’s already undergone brain surgery, and now begins a long, intense road of treatment.
First comes 33 rounds of radiation—every weekday for nearly seven weeks. Then she’ll start chemotherapy: four rounds, each requiring 2–3 weeks in the hospital, followed by 1–2 weeks at home to recover. That’s months of treatment, most of it spent in the hospital.
June has already amazed her doctors and nurses with how strong and brave she is. Even after major brain surgery, she bounced back faster than anyone expected. Her resilience is real.
Her moms, Jessica and Hailey, are doing everything they can to get her the best care possible. That includes therapies not covered by insurance—treatments to help protect June’s brain and body from the harsh side effects of radiation and chemo. With one parent always at June’s side, and another juggling work and care for her brother Sawyer, this journey will stretch every part of life: time, energy, and finances.
Donations will help cover medical expenses, alternative therapies, and lost income—so Jessica and Hailey can focus on what matters: helping June heal and keeping their family steady.
Sawyer, who loves making origami, is sending handmade thank-you gifts to donors as his way of saying thanks.
When we speak about this, we aren’t saying “June has cancer, or June’s cancer”. We are clear this cancer does not belong to June – this is an illness passing through. So we say “June is fighting cancer”. And she is the greatest warrior princess of all time.
