Chris Penn has been a staple of the Dallas music community for decades, bringing us joy through live music and keeping the love of vinyl alive at the beloved Good Records.
On Monday, March 17, Chris was working at the store and fell. Due to underlying, existing medical issues, this fall was devastating. He and his family need our help navigating the immediate and future needs his condition is going to present.
At present, he is in the ICU and looking at a very modified life going forward. It looks like it is very possible that Chris could have permanent paralysis, but the extent of that is still unknown. Obviously, he is going to be unable to work, and Jenn will struggle to manage being at the hospital as much as possible, the obligations of her full time job and caring for their 3 sons, who are also grappling with the trauma of this situation. There will certainly be extensive rehab, home modification, and ongoing home care needed in the future.

Additional note: As tempting as it will be to reach out directly to Jenn for updates, please realize her primary focus is on tending to Chris’ ever-changing needs. Dear family friend and business partner, Tim Delaughter, will be giving updates via social when appropriate.
