Story
On March 23rd, my grandpa was admitted into the ICU and was put into a medically induced coma. He had pneumonia, which caused sepsis and kidney failure. He was intubated and put on daily dialysis to help him recover. As the sedation was wearing off, my grandpa was not waking up on his own. After many scans and an EEG, it was determined that he suffered multiple strokes while in a coma, and our family was given the news that irreversible damage had occurred in his brain. We have waited all we can to see signs of improvement, but it has been determined he will never wake up, and he could suffer no longer. In the coming days we will have to watch Apa take his last breath. Our family is suffering a great loss. We will carry Apa in our hearts forever. We are asking for prayers, praying that we find peace in all of this, as well as any donations to help with memorial costs. Thank you.
