When you try unsuccessfully to conceive a child, it can be an incredibly heart wrenching process. And it can be an expensive one.

Every year, there are almost 80,000 Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) treatments undertaken in Australia with a success rate average of just 17%.

Each time you embark on a round of In vitro fertilisation (IVF) or another ART treatment, you have an upfront cost that is typically in the region of $10,000 – $15,000.

‘How do you want to pay for that?’

While most eligible couples will get a 50% rebate from Medicare after the round has been completed (thank you!), that starts to become irrelevant when you are trying to find the money upfront for your third round, or for your fourth round, or for your fifth.

Many families will spend upwards of $50,000 in the hope of meeting their little plus one – a huge financial cost for any family.

Minus One believes that money should never be a barrier to being able to conceive a child, so we have a grants program where families can apply to receive a $10,000 grant to contribute to the cost of their treatment.

Any type of family is eligible to apply, with criteria based on financial, medical and general hardship.

Every single cent raised here will go towards the grant. EVERY CENT!!!

You can help us by contributing to our fund.

As soon as we get to $10,000 we will launch the applications for our first grant and help a couple meet their little plus one!

What could be better than helping someone who desperately wants to conceive a child to make their dream a reality? Nothing!
