This year, team Neuromuscular WA is taking part in the City to Surf to raise vital funds for a cause close to our hearts, supporting people across WA living with neuromuscular conditions.

These are rare, progressive diseases that gradually weaken muscles and make everyday things, such as walking, speaking, and even breathing, incredibly difficult. Life with a neuromuscular condition often means relying on mobility aids, respiratory support, and specialised equipment, as well as a great deal of resilience.

That’s why Neuromuscular WA exists, a small but mighty charity dedicated to improving the quality of life, happiness and wellbeing of people affected by these conditions. From counselling and advocacy to equipment support, education and inclusive community programs, they provide practical help and heartfelt connection through every stage of the journey.

Their motto, Support for Life, reflects more than a mission. It’s a promise to walk alongside people and families for the long haul, and we’re proud to walk, run or roll in support of that.
