No One Fights Alone: Help Kelsey Fight Breast Cancer

Dear Friends and Family,

We are reaching out to share Kelsey’s continued journey and a devastating setback in her battle with cancer.

In May of 2023, (11 months after the birth of Kelsey and Corey’s daughter, Elliana), Kelsey was diagnosed with an aggressive form of stage 2 breast cancer. With immense perseverance, she fought through chemotherapy and monoclonal antibody infusions, ultimately leading to a double mastectomy and reconstruction surgeries.

On November 9th, 2023, Kelsey received the amazing news that she had achieved a Pathological Complete Response — her medical team told her she was “NED” or “No Evidence of Disease” and would be considered “in remission” with careful monitoring for the next 5 years. It was a moment of sheer relief for the entire family.

While recovering from the long and intense treatment regimen was challenging, with determination, Kelsey and Corey rebuilt their lives, with Kelsey returning to work and her beloved gardening, all while cherishing her growing toddler.

Which brings us to today:

After much consideration and several medical consultations, Kelsey and Corey felt ready to pursue their dream of having a second child. However, on April 14th, 2025, an unusual lymph node was detected during a routine check-up. Kelsey underwent a biopsy on May 1st, and three days later, the pathology report came in with the devastating news that her breast cancer had returned and spread to her lymph nodes.

Kelsey now faces a more aggressive treatment regimen, which presents challenges she couldn’t have anticipated. The rigorous treatment path ahead has forced Kelsey and Corey to abandon their hopes for expanding their family to focus solely on Kelsey’s ability to be here to raise Elliana.
