Story

My name is Jaxon McKim, along with my sister, Lauren Hatcher, we’re raising funds to support my incredible mom, Julie McKim — a devoted teacher, beloved church member, longtime softball coach, and proud Gator fan — who has been courageously fighting cancer for the past 10+ years, and continues to fight everyday.

Julie has always been a light to those around her. Whether she’s cheering on the Florida Gators, mentoring young athletes on the field, teaching in the classroom, or serving in her church. She gives everything she has to others, and now she needs us to rally around her.

Throughout this decade-long battle, she has faced every round of treatment with grace, strength, and unshakable faith. As the cancer journey continues, the emotional and financial weight has become more than our family can carry alone.

My father, Shawn, has been by her side every step of the way. The stress of taking on the financial burden of medical bills, rehabilitation, travel, and everyday expenses are eating away at more than just savings. It means so much to stay positive when fighting against cancer, but it’s not always an easy thing to do with unbearable emotional and financial stress. Dad and I are doing all we can — but we need help.

We’re asking for your support to ease the financial strain and give Julie the care and comfort she deserves. Your donation will go directly toward medical treatments, transportation, and living costs to help lift some of the stress from our family.
