My name is Sohad Hajjaj, a Palestinian software engineer and founder of a small startup in the Gaza Strip.
For more than two years, I have lived through a brutal war that destroyed our homes, our offices, our income—everything. We didn’t just lose our buildings, we lost our stability, our security, and the ability to support ourselves and our families. Yet, despite the fear, exhaustion, and devastation surrounding us, we chose hope.
I decided to rebuild my war-torn company from scratch with a group of talented young people—designers, developers, marketers, and engineers—each with their own skills and dreams. We want to work. We want to live. We want to provide a decent living for our families.
But we face enormous challenges:
We’re not asking for luxury, just the bare minimum to restart our lives and work.
We’re raising $20,000 to cover:
1. A solar energy system 2. An internet connection 3. A small coworking space 4. Moderate living expenses so we can focus on rebuilding.
This isn’t just a donation; it’s an investment in people who have chosen to rise again rather than give up. We are not victims; we are survivors trying to find solutions, not just for ourselves, but for others as well.
