Kyle J. Emerson
July 31, 1995 – May 23, 2025
An immeasurable sadness has overcome our community at the loss of Kyle Emerson. May the joy and intention with which he met each sunrise be a guide for all of us—to forge better spaces in our communities and, like Kyle, leave the world kinder than we found it.
Kyle was a beloved member of so many Petaluma circles: Lunchette, Griffo, Luma, The Mystic, Luma Fitness, Yoga Hell, AA, Paramedic EMT school, and the Ice Plunge Brothers. He was a son, a brother, a dog dad, a co-worker, a classmate, and a steadfast friend. His zest for life and innate kindness rippled through each interaction, each moment of his day.
He is survived by his adoring mother, Tracey; his younger brother, Ian; his beloved grandmother; his dog, Lily; and by a wide, loving web of friends.
There is no way to mend the heartbreak we are all feeling. Nothing can return Tracey her son, or give us back our friend, co-worker, and companion. But there is something we can do: we can ease a small part of the burden. We can help Tracey bring her son home and create a memorial that honors the beauty and light he brought into this world.
