Hello, my name is Lusela Lopez, and I am reaching out from Austin, Texas, to advocate for my dear friend, Ibrahem Abu Shaban. Many of you may feel a sense of helplessness and a desire to assist the people of Gaza. This campaign is aimed at providing direct support to Ibrahem and his family. All donations will be allocated solely to address their living expenses and evacuation costs as they pursue safety in Egypt. The current fee for evacuation from Gaza to Egypt is set at 5,000 per person. Additionally, despite residing in a tent, they are still required to pay rent under very challenging conditions. Please read his story below:

I’m Ibrahem Abu Shaban, a 29-year-old lawyer. Since 2014, I have volunteered at the Palestinian Red Crescent Society as a paramedic, bearing in mind that a war erupted in 2014. Although it was nothing related to my specialty, law, I sincerely dedicated myself to assisting and giving a hand to injured people, all of whom are victims of the IDF.

On the 7th of October, a new war erupted and I left my family to volunteer again as I used to do in every war but this one was way different and more aggressive. While providing paramedic emergency services, I witnessed catastrophic bloody images of martyrs and destruction. Additionally, there was no service or connection to reach out to my family to check on my parents who are elderly and suffer from chronic heart disease and hypertension; the lack of the right medicine made their case worse.

Furthermore, my family of 20, including 8 kids and a newborn, lives in ONE tent without any normal human needs and supplies or hygiene. Moreover, we lost our house and jobs in bombings in Gaza City so we are in need to restart a new life in a safe place. Please donate if you can or at least share my story.
