My name is Ahmed, and I’m from Gaza. For over a year and three months, I’ve been living in a small tent among the ruins of war. I’ve witnessed every form of sufferin: repeated displacement, constant bombing, fear that never leaves my heart, death before my eyes, famine that suffocates me, scorching summer heat, and the freezing cold of winter. Even clean water has become a distant dream. Just last week, we lost our tent in the midst of fleeing another near miss bombing, we are shelterless right now. The humanitarian situation is unbearable. This ongoing war has left endless tragedy behind. I’m suffering from severe psychological trauma and acute malnutrition that worsens daily due to starvation. *My goal with this campaign:* To survive. To escape the cycle of pain and find safety and peace in a foreign or European country. I dream of going to university, learning how to develop websites and web pages, and building a life filled with happiness—far from fear and hunger. From Anlin: Funds raised will be used to help Ahmed, who is the brother of Aya Eyad, and his family get shelter, buy food and sustain themselves, and evacuate Gaza whenever the Rafah crossing reopens. A kilogram of flour costs around $300 right now, these costs have burned through all their savings and any previous funds raised.

They need your support to make it through. Aya and Ahmed have fled near miss bombings several times already, lost their home and close family members, and are barely holding on. Anything you can spare helps.
