Save Shaaban and his son on the street in Gaza
Australia
Issa tells his story very well:
My name is Issa Shaaban Abu Salima. I am 20 years old. I am a university student at the University of Technology. I finished my school years and my dream was to finish my university studies. But suddenly the war came and my university was bombed and my dream was destroyed.
Now I live in the open in al Mawasi camp with my elderly father who’s name is Shaaban. He is 70 years old and has a heart condition and suffered a stroke. He also has high blood pressure, diabetes and arthritis. He is partially paralysed on the right side walks with a crutch during the displacement and a stick around the camp.
Under the conditions of bombing, war, destruction and fear, I cannot provide the bare necessities of life: I urgently need a tent for my father and me, and my fathers medicine, food and clean water. Our food is simple as a piece of bread and oil.
Medicine and food prices are high because the occupation army permits armed gangs to raid the aid trucks and sell the goods at high prices. The Gaza police used to prevent this but now they cannot operate because the occupation army shoots them!
My father built his house for his children over many years with his wife our mother and we lived in it for many years and then the occupation came and demolished it in seconds.
I will achieve my dream and study law to defend my country. I will rebuild my father’s house that was demolished and I raise the banner of victory for my father and mother.
