Save the Kafarna Kids
United States
My name is Julie. I live in the U.S., and for nearly two years, I’ve been helping Abedallah support the children in his family.
This isn’t just a family I fundraise for — it’s a family I care about deeply.
Abedallah is the sole provider for his extended family — including 13 children — as they face constant bombardment, famine, and displacement.
Every donation you make helps keep these 13 children alive.
Four of them are under 5 years old and in urgent need of infant formula and diapers just to survive.
Formula costs up to $150/every 2 weeks
Diapers cost up to $400/month (including commissions and transfer fees)
The youngest are:
Alaa (1½ years)
Majed (1 year)
Mohammed (4 years)
Amal (8 months)
The full list of children (ages 8 months to 15 years): Rama (15), Ryad (14), Tala (10), Samer (10), Amir (10), Ezz (10), Hamsa (8), Mohammed (7), Mohammed (6), Mohammed (4), Alaa (1½), Majed (1), and Amal (8 months).
These children are enduring forced starvation and unimaginable loss. Your donation can help provide the most basic items to keep them alive.
The Kafarna family’s basic monthly needs include:
Rent – $1,400
Food – $1,400+
Diapers & Formula – $300–$400
Other essentials (medicine, hygiene, fuel, transport) – $400–$600
⚠️ Due to aid theft, inflation, and cash withdrawal commissions, only about half of the money sent reaches the family.
That means: ➡️ $200 sent = $100 in hand
This is why recurring monthly donations are life-saving. One-time gifts help — but consistent support builds stability.
You can make a one-time or monthly donation here: https://kafarnafamilysurvival.carrd.co
Even $10 or $25 can mean a meal, medicine, or shelter for a child trying to survive another day.
I’ll continue posting updates so you can see how the kids and their family are doing.
You’re not just donating — You’re helping a family survive another day.
Thank you all so much for your continued support!
With your help, donations this month have reached a little over $800 (including this fund, PayPal, and the remaining bank balance). The monthly goal is around $2,000, as outlined in the fundraiser.
Attached is a sweet little heart drawn by Rama, which will soon appear on T-shirts, notebooks, and bandanas! I’ve already ordered one myself and will be posting photos soon. All items will be sold with 100% of profits going to support Abedallah, Rama, and their siblings.
Earlier this month, I was able to send $1,000 from the remaining funds. Once we reach the next thousand, I’ll be able to send another direct transfer.
Every bit helps — even sharing this fundraiser makes a huge difference.
If you’re able to set up recurring monthly donations, even $5 goes a long way.
If you have any questions, feel free to message me on Instagram at @___julizabeth___
Thank you again — truly. your support is invaluable.
Sincerely,
Rama, Abedallah and Julie ♥️
