Hello, I am Amir Hartt from America, and after many campaigns for individual families I am happy to be able to support the endangered press of Gaza. Specifically, this campaign is for the benefit of Ahmed Abu Al-Aoun. 100% of funds from this campaign will be sent to Ahmed via a wire transfer through my mother’s bank account, and while the majority >50% will be spent on food and basic necessities such as firewood, medical needs, cartfare, and an emergency fund in case of displacement, the rest will go towards repairs, transportation, and any other medical needs warranted by Ahmed’s work. And now, confident in his journalistic voice, I will allow Ahmed to present his story and situation to you directly.
“My name is Ahmad Abu Al-Aoun, I am 23 years old and I live in Gaza City, Palestine. I hold a diploma in Multimedia from Al-Azhar University in Gaza. I had dreams of continuing my studies, but I was forced to stop due to the war on Gaza.
Before the war broke out on October 7, 2023, I lived a stable and peaceful life with my family. We had a comfortable life and were always willing to help others in need. We never imagined that one day we would be the ones needing help.
Our lives turned upside down. From dignity, stability, and generosity — to fear, displacement, and need. We no longer have a, no income, and no sense of safety. We struggle daily just to survive — even for the most basic needs like food, clean water, and shelter.
This is my message to anyone with a kind heart: Please help us. My family, once full of life, laughter, and love, is now broken and desperate. Any support — no matter how small — could make a big difference. You can help bring hope and light to a family that has lost everything. Thank you for reading my story. I hope it touches your heart.”
