I’m Kholoud Hammad, 21 year old artist and graphic designer from Jabalia, Gaza, which has been under relentless attack by the occupation. Yes, I was there, constantly fleeing from one place to another in northern Gaza due to the endless bombing. Despite this I have continued drawing symbols of Palestinian struggle and resistance.

This fundraiser is to help my family have a safe place again. Our home was destroyed, and now we are living in a tent. Rent prices are too high, so we have no other choice. The tent doesn’t protect us from the cold or heat. With your donations and by buying my art, I hope to support my family during these hard times. We have lost everything and can’t afford even basic needs. I write this with hope that you can help us in any way. We really need urgent support—living in a tent is too hard, and we can’t get used to it.

I am proud to have graduated as the top student in the Graphic Design department at GTC College. This achievement wasn’t just a personal victory—it was a moment of pride for me and my family of eight. My efforts opened many doors for me as an independent artist, both in Gaza and internationally, allowing me to support my family and build a life full of accomplishments.

But the war on Gaza changed everything. Everything I worked for—my dreams, my tools, my home—was destroyed in an instant. I lost my design laptop, all my artistic tools, and even my family’s home. Despite the destruction, I tried to turn my pain into creativity using whatever materials I could find. With just a few pens and pieces of paper, I began creating a series of ink drawings called “Shadows Under Fire.”

You can find these works on my Instagram and get my art prints to support me. This collection is my way of resisting as an artist from Gaza, living through an endless tragedy.

I have survived many wars here, but this one has been the worst. We keep moving from place to place, losing everything we own. The violence, destruction, and losing people I love have made life full of sadness. My dreams are broken, and I can’t fix them alone.

You can see that I am truly talented in design and drawing, and I deserve your continued support. I need your support to rise again—to rebuild not only my home, but also my hope, my tools, and my future. Together, we can prove that creativity and resilience can endure even after unimaginable loss.
