Support for the Amurgis Family

Hello everyone,

On behalf of the Amurgis family, I am reaching out with a heavy but hopeful heart. Bill and Christie’s young son has been struggling throughout his life with several congenital medical conditions. Christie and Bill have flown him all over the country seeking diagnosis and specialized medical treatment for their sweet boy.

Fortunately, they were able to get answers to his complicated medical condition and start a course of very specialized treatment. Unfortunately, the out-of-pocket cost of these treatments is 206,500, not including travel expenses and incidentals associated with his treatment.

Christie and Bill have devoted their lives to helping others. Christie is a speech-language pathologist who works with extremely medically fragile infants and toddlers. Bill is an advocate for adoption, helping children with Autism connect virtually over video games, video calls, and coaching hockey and helping them get involved in other sports like BMX biking and swimming.

Please consider donating to their GoFundMe account to help ease some of their financial burden and allow them to focus on his healing and recovery. The path ahead involves a variety of necessary treatments, medication, time away from work, travel expenses, and not to mention everyday living needs for themselves and their other two children.
