Hi, my name is Marylee, and I’m organizing this GoFundMe on behalf of my brother, Gregory Smith — lovingly known by many in Bayport as “Smitty.” A lifelong resident of our community, Smitty has always been someone you could count on — whether it was a kind word, a helping hand, or just his unforgettable sense of humor.

Today, he’s facing one of the biggest challenges of his life: a serious health issue that has taken a toll physically, emotionally, and financially. As he undergoes chemo treatment and recovery, at Stonybrook Cancer Center the medical bills and everyday living expenses have quickly piled up. I’m managing this fundraiser to help cover Gregory’s medical costs, prescriptions, and unpaid bills — so he can focus on healing without the added burden of financial stress.
