Support Isabella’s Fight: Help cover hospital costs.

Story

Isabella has been courageously battling a rare autoimmune disorder called scleroderma. Scleroderma, which literally means “hard skin,” affects the body by causing thickening and tightening of the skin and can also damage internal organs like the lungs, heart, and kidneys. For Isabella, it has significantly impacted her lungs, making her journey especially challenging.

For the past couple of months, Isabella has been on the waiting list for a lung transplant. This past week, she faced an additional hurdle when a viral infection led to her being hospitalized and placed on a ventilator. After a few days of intubation, she made promising progress and was breathing on her own. However, her condition suddenly changed, and she had to be placed on an ECMO machine—a form of life support that helps her heart and lungs do their job while she waits for her transplant.

The good news is that Isabella is now at the very top of the lung transplant list, and we are hopeful and prayerful that new lungs will come soon. Through it all, Isabella’s strength, courage, and unbreakable spirit continue to inspire everyone around her.

As they prepare for Isabella’s lung transplant, her family will be staying in a hotel near the hospital and will need financial support for hotel stays, meals, parking, and other hospital-related expenses.
