Story

Two of the kindest, most conscientious, and radically cool parents in the world– Jessie Singer and Andrew Hinderaker– had a baby on May 14th! We are all SO thrilled to welcome Junona Gray Hinderaker Singer. Jessie, Andrew, and Junona’s big sis Teline are so excited to become a family of four.

As many of you know, the pregnancy and birth had complications. Jessie was in the hospital for a total of thirteen days, and underwent major surgery after the birth where she lost a catastrophic amount of blood. Baby Junona is absolutely perfect, and also had to have a surgery to repair her esophagus on her second day of life. That surgery, in addition to being born early, means that Junona is currently in the NICU at New York Presbyterian Hospital on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. She is doing well and being taken care of by the world-class doctors and nurses there, and is expected to be able to try breathing and eating on her own in the coming days.

Jessie is finally home in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn with Andrew and Teline, but is still recovering from surgery. We are now hoping to support Jessie and Andrew’s daily travels to see the new baby, and begin to be able to care for her in the hospital before she is able to come home.

Please help us raise funds to send Junona’s amazing parents back-and-forth from Bay Ridge to the NICU on the Upper East in a car service. Any amount is greatly appreciated!

Thank you all so much. And hurray for this family of superheroes– they are doing such a good job!
