Support Lexi Pascarella’s Fight Against Cancer

This message comes from both of us — Alana Reagan and Kathryn Sexton. We are school social workers at OCM BOCES, and today we are reaching out today not only as a colleague, but as a friend of someone incredibly special — Lexi Pascarella.

Lexi is also a school social worker at OCM BOCES, and anyone who knows her can tell you how deeply she cares for her students and coworkers. She brings joy, compassion, and unwavering positivity into every space she enters. Lexi is truly a bright light, always striving to be the best version of herself and lifting others up along the way.

Recently, Lexi received a sudden and devastating diagnosis: Stage 4 Non-Hodgkin Burkitt’s Lymphoma. This aggressive and fast-moving cancer has completely changed the course of her life, forcing her to step away from work and focus on her treatment. She is currently receiving care in Rochester and, due to the nature of her diagnosis and the circumstances, is now without income or paid leave.

As she fights this battle, Lexi needs our support more than ever. With no current income, she is facing the heavy burden of covering everyday living expenses and all of her bills — including student loans, car payment, medical costs, transportation, and more. Any financial support, no matter how big or small, can help ease this pressure and allow her to focus entirely on healing and recovery.

Lexi has devoted herself to supporting and uplifting others. Now it’s our turn to lift her up with the same love, strength, and compassion she’s shown so many.
