UPDATE:
Surgery went as good as it could have!!! Praise God. Thank u for all of the prayers. We r so thankful for everyone that is praying for her
She is doing good. Pain is manageable. She is trying to move her neck on her own. Making great strides. They r trying to get her to breathe on her own but she isn’t quite there yet. But getting closer. The hardest part is her not being able to talk so she has to mouth everything. It’s an awful game of charades….

From Tasha: “Our sweet daughter Lina was in a horrible accident. She was riding her bike to work and got hit by a car. As I say this out loud, it still seems surreal. I can’t begin to explain the feelings a parent goes through when you get this phone call. It’s a parent’s worst nightmare.

We found out after arriving that she had broken her C5/C6 vertebrae and had surgery within several hours after arriving. The surgery went as well as it could have, and now it is a waiting game. The doctor told us before surgery that she will have a 3% chance of ever walking again. But we know we serve a powerful, BIG God who can perform miracles. We have already seen so many miracles. We have hope and faith that miracles will continue to happen. We have a long road ahead of us, but we will continue to jump over each hurdle that comes our way. Lina is a fighter. She didn’t learn how to run hurdles this year for nothing; now is her time to shine. We love you, Lina. Please continue praying. Also, please pray for the driver and their family; this was all just an awful accident, and I can’t imagine how they are feeling as well
