Help Morgan Walk Again – Every Step Matters
On Sunday, April 27, 2025, Morgan DeNoers was skating in a recreational hockey game in Louisville when he lost his edge and crashed head-first into the boards. In an instant, his life changed. The impact left him paralyzed from the shoulders down.
At just 29 years old, Morgan—a lifelong athlete who played D2 college lacrosse and men’s league hockey—was rushed into emergency spinal surgery to decompress his cervical spine (C3–C5). The prognosis was devastating.
But Morgan isn’t giving up. And neither are we.
Since the injury, Morgan has been at Frazier Rehab, working every day to regain strength, coordination, and independence. His goals are simple: to walk again, to feed himself, to return home to his wife, Lorna, with dignity and purpose.
This photo captures a milestone we weren’t sure we’d ever see: Morgan standing—supported, braced, and determined—on his own two feet outside the rehab center. It’s not the finish line. But it’s a beginning.

Cost Breakdown
Insurance covers a portion of Morgan’s care—but not all. His inpatient therapy is currently funded, and the 7,000 annual deductible has already been met. However, outpatient therapy, adaptive equipment, and home modifications are not fully covered. And that’s where you come in.
Out-of-pocket costs include:
• 300/day for outpatient therapy if insurance limits are exceeded
• Specialized equipment to support progress at home
• Essential renovations and relocation to accessible housing

The Immediate Need – A Place to Call Home Again
Morgan and Lorna currently live in a second-floor walk-up—now entirely inaccessible. With help from his parents, they are searching for a ground-floor condo that can be modified for wheelchair access. It’s a necessary move, but an expensive one.

Your Support Makes a Difference
Every dollar you give helps Morgan:
• Continue physical therapy when insurance ends
• Acquire adaptive tools to regain daily function
• Secure a safe, accessible home for the next phase of recovery
Your support helps Lorna stay by his side, working part-time while managing the heavy load of caregiving and advocacy.
Your support reminds this young couple they are not alone.

Join the Fight
Morgan has always shown heart—in sport, in life, and now in recovery. His employer is holding his job, waiting for the day he returns. His wife is holding his hand, walking this road beside him. His family is holding him up with everything they’ve got.
Will you hold the line with them?
