It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our brother, Timothy So’osemea Muao, left this Earth on Friday, May 23, 2025. He was 32.
He and his wife, Paugi, moved to Minnesota two years ago to build a life and home for their family. So’o found work and their four children enrolled in school. At first they settled into an apartment, but recently have moved into the lower level of a home they rent with their brother. They have all found comfort and security in being close to family and having consistency in both work and home life.
About 2 weeks ago So’o went into the hospital with back pain and was sent home with antibiotics for a kidney infection. His condition steadily worsened over the next several days. He suffered a seizure on Wednesday morning (May 21) and was brought to Regions Hospital where it was discovered that the infection was actually in his blood. The infection had caused major bleeding in his brain that led to seizure and hemorrhagic stroke. It was devastating to learn that the bleed had caused irreparable damage to his brain. As a result, he was taken off of life support on Friday afternoon, May 23. His wife gave birth to their new baby girl, Josemea, on Thursday morning.
We are asking for financial help in order to provide So’o with a memorial service, and to prepare his body for cremation. We also would love to support his families’ needs as they navigate their first steps without their dad and husband by their side, especially with a new baby girl to care for. So’o was the sole earner in their household, and Paugi takes care of the children. This sudden tragedy has left them with more than a little financial uncertainty. With support from family and friends, we hope to help Paugi and their beautiful children manage this life transition a little more smoothly
