As many of you know the pandemic impacted many personally as well as globally Some through illness and loss, others through business, and the inability to be with loved ones. As we adjusted to this new normal and creative ways to get together, the Schweizer Family had additional challenges ahead.

In 2020, Rab underwent surgery for double knee replacements, requiring an early retirement. We had hoped he could enjoy his retirement years. Who would have thought on September 19, 2021 a biopsy confirmed a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.

So many memories came back. The family had already endured the loss of Rab’s younger brother David in 2010 from the same disease. The pain of another sibling fighting courageously was unbearable. Rab began testing, treatment and surgery. Determined to beat the odds Rab was ready to fight. With a supportive team of medical resources and his family and friends, he moved forward, with commitment and vigor.

Surviving the initial diagnosis and now a second reoccurrence, he currently continues his battle. Unfortunately, his treatment has created complications.

The fight is real. Rab is strong. #SchweizerStrong.
