My name is Laura and I am starting this campaign for my friend Alia and her family who, like millions of others, have been displaced due to Israel’s genocidal military assault in Gaza.
Alia and her husband Ahmed have three children, Zenia (5), Maher (3) and baby Mahomed (8 months). They now live in a tent encampment in a designated humanitarian zone and are struggling. I speak to Alia every day and she is a smart, strong woman who blows me away with her ideas and determination.
But after 12 months, goods are more than 10x their normal price, if they are available in the markets at all. And winter, which brings cold rains and winds, is eminent. With no end in sight to the genocide and world leaders failing to provide any help, this campaign will be used to raise funds for the Milad family to help them buy essential goods like diapers, formula, cleaning supplies, food and medicine.
