TeamMED a subcommittee of Monash University Medical Student Society is organizing this fundraising challenge

More than 70% of Ugandans live more than 5km away from the nearest health facility. This challeneg aims to raise awareness, engage and educate people about global health issues specifically in Uganda as well as raise funds to help shine a spotlight and improve healthcare outcomes of people in areas where access is difficult.

TeamMED Uganda Walking Challenge is a challenge where participants will walk or run as many kilometres as they can during the month of October and earn one point for each kilometre they walk/run, whilst getting donations from their friends and family which will get them double points for each dollar!

The donations we receive will go directly towards our two partner communities in Uganda: Suubi Centre in Lwengo District and Centre for Youth Driven Development Initiatives in Wakiso District. This volunteer initiative is entirely self-funded; none of the money raised will be used for personal expenses (travel, accommodation etc).

For more information visit: http://www.teammed.org/ https://www.suubimedicalcentre.org/ http://cfyddi.org/about-us.html

Encourage your friends and family to join the challenge. Having a bunch people involved helps with the motivation and banter.
