My name is Sharee. In March 2017 I suffered the loss of a very dear friend, Patrick. ‘PatO’ was a ‘one-of-a-kind’ kinda man. Loved by many as he brought light, generosity and playfulness to whoever he met.

Tragically he took his own life and since then I have promised myself to laugh more, love more, play more and give more … as Pato always did.

I aim to raise money to raise awareness, advocate against the stigma of mental health and support those in need. This money will be donated to the Black Dog Institute (https://www.blackdoginstitute.org.au/about-us).

You can show your support towards the prevention of suicide by buying a lock!

Every dreadlock costs $100 to shed! That’s $4300 we will be raising towards suicide prevention.

There are not many out there who have been unaffected by suicide. This is a chance for you to do something about it!

Join me in shedding the locks to un-lock mental health!

We did it! A big shout out to all who have pitched in to support this campaign. Although very personal, unfortunately this story is not uncommon. I trust our contribution will be valuable in raising awareness of suicide and supporting those at risk.
