Dear friends,
We are Adi, Shahda, and Nael, Palestinians from Gaza. We have lived through the horrors of war in all its details. We have lost many loved ones and witnessed how life can be turned upside down in an instant. We were forced to flee the hell of war to Egypt, hoping for a better future, but we found ourselves stuck in a difficult reality: without residency, without citizenship, and without proper work.
Current Situation: We have been living in Egypt for over a year and a half, where we face countless challenges. Job opportunities are limited, and the economic situation is worsening, making it extremely difficult to continue our daily lives. Without legal residency, we cannot access education, healthcare, or even build a stable life. Today, we are faced with only one option: to seek a place that will provide us with the safety, education, and opportunities we deserve.
The Journey Toward Hope: We have decided to seek asylum in Belgium, but the path is not easy. The itinerary will be as follows:
Step One: Obtain a visa to Turkey, which costs $150 per person.
Step 2: Traveling by land from Turkey to Greece, which is the most difficult and dangerous stage, with the crossing costing $10,000 per person.
Step 3: After obtaining residency in Greece, we will travel to Belgium to apply for asylum and settle there for work and study.
Why are we asking for help? We have lost everything, and we are now in a race against time to save what remains of our future. We need your support to cover the costs of this difficult journey. The amount required is large, but every contribution, no matter how small, contributes to changing our lives for the better.
Required costs:
Turkey visa: $150 x 3 people = $450
Overland travel costs from Turkey to Greece: $10,000 x 3 people = $30,000
Other expenses for food, temporary housing, and transportation: approximately $5,000
Total required: $35,450
