URGENT: Help Shahd Al-Baz Receive Burn Treatment Abroad

The purpose of this campaign is to help Shahd receive medical treatment abroad for second and third-degree burns. All funds raised will be used to secure medical evacuation for Shahd with her father, Ismail.

Shahd Al-Baz suffered severe burns to her face and upper body over a month ago when she bumped into someone carrying a pot of boiling water. Since then, she has been receiving medical treatment in Gaza, under siege and bombardment, without sufficient medication and pain management. Her wounds continue to re-open, and there is a very real risk of infection.

To add to her pain, Shahd’s friends refuse to play with her because of her neck guard and her wounds. She is suffering greatly, and needs assistance in order to receive a referral for treatment abroad.

She needs to be evacuated for medical treatment as soon as possible. Shahd deserves to receive the proper treatment for her severe burns, and this is not possible in Gaza.

Please help Shahd so that can fully recover, and so that her wounds can heal.

Shahd has lost many family members during this war on Gaza, including her grandmother, grandfather, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She has suffered so much loss, and now is suffering so much pain and misery. Please help her so that she can receive proper treatment and plastic surgery to help decrease the pain and disfigurement caused by her severe burns.

In November of 2023, Shahd and her family lost their home and many members of their family, including both of her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins. In the time since this devastating loss, they have struggled with finding a safe place to live, because there is no safe place in Gaza.

Shahd and her family have been forced to shelter in tents and schools, with no running water or easy access to essential supplies, including food and medicine, and transportation for Shahd to receive burn treatments at the hospital.

The tragedies that Shahd and her family have endured are unthinkable, and now Shahd is suffering greatly from her wounds.

Please help get Shahd evacuated for burn treatment abroad so that she can begin to live a normal life again.

Shahd and her family need funds ASAP in order to buy food. They do not receive nearly enough to cover even a week’s worth of food, and they struggle with finding anything substantial within their very small budget.

Compounding the problem are the fees being charged by the exchange offices in Gaza. For every $10 donated, Shahd and her family receive only about $5 because of these high commission fees of nearly 50%!

Shahd and her family are in dire need of assistance. Please help them make it through this incredibly difficult time so that Shahd can eventually receive the proper treatment for her burns.

As I’m sure you all know, the prices of everything from foods to medicine to transportation in Gaza have skyrocketed due to the continued blockade.

Shahd and her family are struggling to afford the costs of even the most essential items for their survival. Shahd has weekly checkups at the hospital, but the transportation to and from it costs over $35. Food prices have become so exhorbitant that a single onion can cost over $50! They rely on our donations to survive.

Without our help to afford even just flour and lentils, this family starves.

Please help them.

Shahd needs healthy foods and a healthy number of calories in order for her body to heal. Please, help Shahd and her family.

We don’t know yet if she will be allowed to evacuate, but we can at least give her a better chance at healing, no matter where she is.
