UPDATE
Thanks to your generous support, we previously raised what we had expected we would need to start a new life in Australia. We could not contain our excitement from all of the support from strangers.
Unfortunately, there are some unexpected travel costs and visa fee charges that we couldn’t foresee. The IOM/UNHCR book flights based on first available, not most economical, making travel within Indonesia and eventually to Australia substantially more costly than we had budgeted for.
Once again, we face another hurdle and we must ask if you can help us. We expect to receive word that we can travel to Australia this month, so we hope with all we have that we can raise enough to take up the opportunity while it lasts.
My family depends on your kindness and generosity. It is so difficult for us to continue asking, but we truly have no other option. We must do everything we can to end this limbo and start a new life.
In Indonesia, my wife and I are not permitted to work which makes us entirely reliant on the generosity of strangers just like you to raise funds. It feels like our dream may come true and we can never thank you enough.
