Short Story
United States
At a time when bread has become a dream, and a bag of flour costs more than gold… At a time when people are picking vegetables off the ground and waiting for aid just to feed their children… We’re trying to be a small light in all this darkness.
Gaza is going through one of the harshest periods in its history. Prices have skyrocketed — hunger is no longer a threat; it’s a reality. A single bag of flour now costs $600, and basic items like tomatoes, potatoes, rice, milk, and cooking oil have become luxuries.
What we see in the markets is heartbreaking: people looking at the food they need… then walking away, because they simply can’t afford it.
The crisis is no longer just about war or siege — it’s about hunger. Children are going to sleep with empty stomachs. Mothers hold their babies close with nothing to offer. Many now depend entirely on aid kitchens, and those who have no one are surviving on scraps.
Out of this pain, we’ve made a decision: From now on, these donations will go directly to families who can’t afford life’s most basic needs. We’ll buy essentials like flour, rice, milk, baby formula, and more.
We’ll share photos showing the current prices of basic goods — so you can see just how severe and impossible the situation has become. We’ll also post pictures and videos of the distribution process, with full transparency and a heart full of love.
Every contribution — no matter how small — makes a difference. It could feed a hungry child, comfort a mother, or bring life back to a struggling home.
Help us be a small light in this overwhelming darkness. Gaza deserves better. Its people deserve better. And beyond God, they only have the kindness of hearts like yours.
Dear Friends,
First, I would like to share that recently donations have increased unexpectedly, even though I haven’t shared the link myself. Some individuals or pages helped spread it, and I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to every person who stood with us, supported us, and shared the link. This is proof that there are kind people out there who give and support quietly ❤️ Thank you to everyone who donated, shared, or even kept us in their prayers . Your presence with us is the greatest support, reminding us that we are not alone ❤️
Gaza is facing yet another wave of displacement, and with your support we can endure and protect our families. Life in Gaza today is harsher than anyone can bear. The war is still raging, with no sign of an end in sight. Destroyed homes have become shelters for families who have lost everything, and tents have turned into “temporary homes” for thousands of people who do not know how long they will remain without a roof over their heads. With no jobs and no income sources, even the simplest needs of life have become a distant dream.
Prices have skyrocketed to unimaginable levels, and buying bread or any basic food has become a burden beyond most people’s means. Mothers and fathers spend their days trying to find something that will simply keep their children alive — no luxury, not even stability, just a little food, water, and peace of mind. In these conditions, many feel that life has come to a standstill, with a future that is uncertain and undefined.
Your donations, in these painful moments, are far more than financial aid. They are a true lifeline. The support we receive from you is distributed to families almost like a monthly income, allowing them to meet their basic needs in the way that best fits their circumstances. For many of these families, this support is the difference between hunger and nourishment, between despair and resilience. It gives them a small sense of stability amid the chaos, and it helps them preserve their dignity at a time when so many feel abandoned to face the unknown alone.
Behind every contribution lies a human story that cannot be captured by numbers: a mother who can reassure her child that tomorrow will be better, a father who can finally buy something simple for his family after months of helplessness, a grandmother whispering prayers for those who eased this heavy burden.
The situation remains catastrophic, and the future is unclear, but your solidarity leaves a lasting mark that cannot be erased. You are giving these families more than material assistance — you are giving them hope, comfort, and the reassurance that the world still sees them and hears their cries.
Finally, from all of our hearts: thank you to everyone who donated, supported, or shared this campaign. Because of you, we are not only providing financial support, but also creating a small space of compassion and dignity in the midst of this darkness.
Amid the catastrophic conditions in northern Gaza—and with ongoing siege and severe shortages of basic necessities—we carried out a distribution of bread and flour to several families who are enduring hunger in its harshest form. These are families who have lost their homes, their sources of income, and even the ability to secure a simple meal for their children. And yet, despite the daily suffering, they continue to hold on to life with unshakable dignity and courage.
This effort was not just about providing food. It was a small gesture to say, “You are not alone.” The faces of the mothers, the eyes of the children, and the tears that came with quiet words of thanks told stories no photo could fully capture.
To live in Gaza today is to fight every day for survival—to hold on to what’s left of one’s humanity amid devastation. Through your support and trust, we’re doing our best to offer a small touch of relief, a moment of comfort, a reminder of solidarity in the face of despair.
We’re attaching photos that document this distribution, and we hope they touch your hearts as deeply as they touched ours.
Thank You from the Heart to Everyone Who Donated!
Thanks to your incredible support, we were able to build and operate a water well that is now serving families in Northern Gaza! Watch the attached video to see how the work was done and how hope was restored — all because of each and every one of you.
However, during the money transfer process, a large portion of the funds was lost due to taxes and fees, especially with the severe lack of liquidity in the country. Although we managed to complete this well, the needs are still overwhelming — families are still without clean water, and children are living without the most basic necessities.
We are now trying to raise funds again to build another well and provide urgent aid to vulnerable families, especially under these devastating conditions.
Prices in Gaza are beyond imagination, and many would struggle to believe the reality — but sadly, this is the harsh truth we are living.
This donation link will only remain open for 3 more months, so let’s use this time to reach as many people as we can.
Every donation matters — and every share can save a life.
